The house of Ilija Nikolić in Veliko Orašje was built in the middle of XIX century as a ground building with a porch and a doksat above the entrance into an ditched cellar.
The interior is divided into three parts. A hall and “a house” hold the central part; both to the left and to the right there are two rooms. This is not the original base shape; it was developing, being partitioned and extended. In the middle of the entrance room there was a wooden pillar, and the floor was partially of impregnated soil and partially bricked. Everything indicates that here once used to be a porch which was later walled up.
In the northeast there was a divan underneath which was an entrance to the cellar; the cellar was located directly under the big room.
The house has a rectangular 15,5х12,5m base on the old dimensions brick foundations, the half – timbered construction with a wooden composite and covered with tile.
Until it was identified in 1998, the house had held original household possessions from XIX and the beginning of XX century; unfortunately this house does not exist today.
