Log house of Dimitrije Paunović is located in Viteževo village on a gentle slope not far away from the village center. There is no precise data on the time of house occurrence, but by the construction and base type it belongs to the objects which used to be built in this area in the first mid of XIX century.
It was constructed on the crushed stone foundations. The walls are made of oak planks, plastered with mud mortar and whitewashed from the inside. The four – sloped roof is covered with tile. The floors in all rooms are made of impregnated soil, and the ceilings are made of “shashovac”. The house dimensions are 10х5,3m in base. By the base type it is a tree – part house with a room, so called “the house” and an open fire place was, with two other rooms besides.
Besides the open fireplace, the log house of Dimitrije Paunović keeps original crockery – caldron on chain holders as well as smaller pieces of crockery on wooden shelves on the walls and a short, round “sofra” dining table – thus the spirit of this old house is preserved.
